Energy Conservation

DIGITALIZATION
We use system-based 100% energy monitoring (level – II) which provides us with daily, weekly & monthly energy analysis and CAP development.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT
We continuously reduce the Environmental Impacts by use of Energy Reduction techniques. Efficient use of Energy is cost Effective. We are Managing Energy Efficiently by installation of efficient lighting instead of conventional Lighting and educate our employees about Energy Conservation techniques by regular Training Programs.
LIGHTS
We use 100% Energy Efficient LED & sensor based lights with reduction in energy usage by 29 % as compared to conventional lighting.
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE CODING
Department wise coding of electrical appliance is implemented at Gelenco. Energy reduction by comparing theoretical load with actual load and development of CAP.
MACHINES
At Gelenco we use 100 % energy efficient motors which benefits reduction in energy consumption by 39%.
STANDARDIZED AC TEMPERATURE
We have set standard temperature for ACs i.e. 25ºC and limit the AC usage duration in Offices, which results in – a 36 % reduction in Indirect GHG emissions.

To make Aspirational Improvements in Sustainability we believe in long-term plans and work on Projects which are cost-effective as well as Nature Conserving.
Tree Plantation Drive
Free of cost plant distribution to employees – volunteer participation of employees. 630kg reduction in CO2 by plants.
SMOG Awareness
Factory wide trainings on smog, its causes, effects and precautionary measurements.Smog awareness via social media & display flexes in & out side factory.
Renewable Energy
-Installation of 151 kw rooftop solar project with $60000 investment.-Generation of Renewable Energy i.e. 40% of total Energy monthly. -82000 kg CO2 Reduction per year..
Green Office Certification
Green office certification in collaboration with WWF Pakistan.Reduction in carbon footprints by minimizing resource consumption.
